Nowadays, with the world becoming more and more digitalized, many people are looking for new ways to promote their business.
One of the most popular ways to do this is through Facebook marketing. As such, there has been a boom in businesses that offer this service – meaning it can be difficult to find reliable companies.
We’re well into 2021 now and it’s definitely been… interesting. Whilst 2020 had a strong “It can’t get any worse than this” mood, it’s difficult to deny the positivity that persists with the ceremonial changing of the date and the explosion of fireworks that lit up our Sydney skyline on New Year’s Day.
What a tough year, 2020. There were bushfires. There’s COVID. There’s the recession. The overall tone of the year is bleak, with only patience and perseverance driving most of us through one distress after another. As I reach the precipice that is 2021, I’m reminded of what made the past year so much more than what I felt through it all.
“Has anybody here ever been to India?” I asked our team during one of our weekly wrap up calls. “Do any of you want to go?” I ask this question because it’s always interesting to hear the answers. (For our team, it’s a 50/50 split.)
If you’re a hobbyist who suddenly found the time to dive into a side hustle or launch a work from home startup due to COVID, congratulations! Whether you’ve finally decided to sell your Photoshop skills or maybe you’ve recently discovered a talent for commercial knitting, it’s exciting to explore new ways to earn some cash.
Have you ever posted a gorgeous photo to #Instagram showing off your products?
Or how about clicking that boost button that shows up below literally everything on Facebook?
Numbers don’t lie, they say.
So let’s have a look at the latest numbers we have so far for social media.
Nearly 60 percent of the world’s population is already online. According to wearesocial.com, there are 3.8 billion social media users in the world as of 2020. This is especially true as the pandemic continues to ravage the globe. People are now mandated to stay at home and turn to social media for both information and entertainment.Wearesocial.com also predicted that this number would likely double halfway into 2020.
How do you like your coffee?
Years ago, I would’ve easily settled for Nespresso. It’s fast and easy to prepare, it tastes good, and it does the trick! Pop in a coffee capsule and – voila! – you’ve got yourself a nice cup of coffee to keep you going for the rest of the day. No fuss, hassle-free coffee. Just like how I liked everything else in my life at the time.
I’m no writing connoisseur, as you can probably tell from my previous posts. When it comes to writing and editing my own work, I tend to miss even the most obvious things – commas, run-on sentences, wonky sentence structure, and incorrectly using that dreaded semicolon.
If I could give one piece of advice to the aspiring creative or the recently starting up startup, it would be to consider attending conventions, exhibitions, and workshops. Whether it’s the academically-driven TEDx or the incredibly hyped-up National Achievers Congress, there’s no denying that these events offer valuable opportunities for learning and networking.
